We are glad to welcome Thai Express and Corporate Stays to Mark Bocek's sponsorship team, we are very grateful for all their support along with all of Mark's other sponsors. Without the amazing support from sponsors, Mark would not be able to fulfill his dream of fighting in the UFC.
After a year and half off recovering from an injury, Mark Bocek is back in the Octagon. Mark was training to face a well rounded Evan Dunham on April 16th, unfortunately on April 7 Mark received the news that Dunham pulled out of the fight due to an injury. Fortunately the UFC matchmaker Joe Silva found Mike De La Torre, as a last minute replacement to face Bocek.
Bocek (11-4) is coming off of victories over John Alessio and Nik Lentz in his last two bouts.
True to form, Bocek was the superior fighter and he exercised his considerable skill advantage on the way to a unanimous decision victory by scores of 30-27, 29-28, 30-27. Alessio may have had the advantage when the two were standing but he failed in his takedown defense and simply couldn't hang with Bocek on the floor.
Gotta be well-rounded in this sport, y'all... read more at MMA Mania
